Easy to make gift bag. With instruction and free template to print out.

This is rather simple. You may call it a gift bag or a gift box. I just thought, rather than the ordinary kind of cube size gift box, maybe we can make little adjustment to this ‘similar-groceries-paperbag’ to give it a little festive and occasional mood! You can add-on cutout shapes such as smiley faces or maybe paper butterfly and stick it to this gift bag too. Well, that was just an idea.

What you need to make these: -

  • Decorated paper or card (weight about 300gms)
  • 1 sheet of A4 cardboard
  • Scissors and craft knife
  • Cutting mat
  • Double sided tape
  • Pencil

Follow these simple steps to make the triangle gift box:-

1. First, you may draw on your own or print out the diagram shown above. After, you have cut out the shape; it should turn out to be like in the pic. Look at the side where the tape is adhered. The double-sided tape should be at the outer side of the gift box.

.
2. Fold along the score lines aa, bb, cc, dd and ee, as well as the long horizontal score lines above the flap to get the visible crease, then smooth it out back a little. This will make it easier for the upcoming steps. Remember to cut out a fine line across xx.

.

3. Remove the back strip of the tape on the only vertical flap and attach by sticking it to the edge of section D.

.

4. Stick flap O and Q together as shown in the next pic. Then remove the back strip of the tape on flap O.

.

5. Now, carefully, stick flap R on attached flap O & Q. Remove the back strip of the tape and then stick flap P over R.

.

6. Gently bend the side of box inwards following the Y shaped score lines.

.

7. Cut out a piece of card and stick it to the inner base of the gift bag to strengthen it.

.

8. Finally, close the box by inserting the pointed end of the Section E into the slot on face B.
.
And there, You’re Done!
